The F66101S is a 9-channels smart LED strings (PWM control pins) controller built in with the 8051 microcontroller unit. The sink current for each PWM channel is 80mA. As very high current would damage the LEDs or influence the LED luminance, we suggest designing the sink current for 500mA in total. In order to raise the sink current, the PWM pins could be connected together in parallel. The PWM output frequency is programmable. The minimum PWM low speed output frequency is 400Hz & the maximum PWM high speed output frequency is 187.5KHz.
The F66101S provides the 2 open-drain GPIO pins which could be reciprocal reverse signal to control two different LED strings dimming intermittently. Then the 9 channels LED strings could be become 18 LED strings setting via the GPIO0 & GPIO1 (check the application example for the brief circuit).
The F66101S provides the asynchronous serial interface (UART) with Tx/Rx pins where the baud rate could be up to 3Mbps. This IC also supports UART mode 1, mode 2 & mode 3.
The system clock frequency is selectable via MCLK (0: 48MHz, 1: 44.2368MHz). The MCU core frequency is programmable where the maximum is 8MHz under the system clock 48MHz. The F66101S is targeting for the high voltage LED, smart and special lamp applications. The F66101S is offered in the SOP16 package.
