The F81437 3T5R transceiver is intended for all EIA-232-E and V.28 communications interfaces, especially in applications where ±12 V is not available. The F81437 features a low power shutdown mode that reduces power dissipation to less than 5μW, ideally suited for batterypowered equipment. F81437 includes two internal charge pump voltage converters that allow operation from a single 3.3V~5V supply. These parts convert the 5V input power to generate the 2VCC (say norminal ±10 V) supplies required for RS-232 output levels. The drivers feature true TTL/CMOS input compatibility, slew rate limited output, and 300Ω power off source impedance. The receivers can handle up to ±30 V input, and have a 3kΩ to 7kΩ input impedance. The receivers also feature hysteresis to greatly improve noise rejection |
